Visiting Warsaw by bike

This few-hour cycling tour around the city will allow you to get an up close look of the most important places of the old and new Warsaw. We will not have to be stuck in traffic jams… We will be able to dash through parks, narrow streets, come close to any object of interes.

Visiting Warsaw by bike

We'll start from the Old Town, where we will walk across the Castle Square, we’ll see St. John’s cathedral from outside, the market square, the Barbican and defensive walls. We’ll stop at the Warsaw Uprising Memorial and an entrance to the sewer pipe used by over 5 thousand insurgents to leave the area surrounded by the Nazi troops.

We will whiz to the Grand Theater and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We'll see at close quarters the tallest building in Poland, a socialist realism symbol of the former system - the Palace of Culture and Science. We’ll flit through the commercial and financial center of the city. We'll see another relic of the times of the Polish People's Republic – the MDM district with austere sculptures representing workers. We’ll pull up on one of the most elegant streets of Warsaw for a moment of rest in a café garden. We’ll ride along the street once known as the "Warsaw Champs-Elysées". We'll see the Parliament. We’ll take the Royal Route to get to Łazienki – the summer residence of the last king of Poland. We’ll take the bikes across this most beautiful park in Warsaw, admiring gems of the eighteenth century architecture, and learning the history of life of the last king, mingled with the history of the collapse of the Polish State and the loss of independence. At the end we’ll ride along bicycle lanes leading under the Vistula Escarpment to reach the river’s bank, which overlooks the Old City and Praga - the part of Warsaw on the other bank.
